"Being outdoors calms my mind and makes me happy." - Me
I've always enjoyed being out in nature, even more so after moving from little old Tasmania to the hustle and bustle of Sydney. A few too many people for my liking, but you do what you have to for a stable career.
Speaking of, during the week I spend my time as an "Industrial Bearing Applications Engineer", I swear its more interesting than it sounds. But of a weekend or with any time off I now find my joy taking photos.
Grabbed myself a camera in 2020, right before a global pandemic. It was the perfect excuse to get my exercise in and get out in the wilderness away from people while we were allowed during lockdowns.
A few years later and you won't find me without a camera when out hiking, capturing anything that I find interesting in the Natural World, from landscapes to wildlife, small textures or details of nature. Oh and the odd trip into the city for some Urban Exploration (Sydney can be alright for that I do admit).
My day job also gives me the opportunity to travel and see the world, no matter where I go a camera comes too.
I hope that even just one image I have taken can give someone the feeling of joy/intrigue/wow it gives me to take them or experience that moment. I'll keep taking them anyway.
Owen
